Hey Everyone, hope you’re having a magnificent week! Jen Ball will be back to wrap up our “Who Is Jesus” series with a talk on Jesus the Resurrected. We will follow that up with an exciting Night Life at Coffee Bean (located on Devonshire and Reseda in the Albertson’s parking lot). Looking forward to seeing you there! :-)

What’s Happening This Week?

This week we are continuing our “Who Is Jesus?” series. Come out to Monday Night Fellowship at 7:30pm and hear Scott Hall speak on Jesus The Revolutionary. Also please join us after fellowship for Night Life starting at 10pm. This week we will be going to Menchie’s (frozen yogurt) on Zelzah and Chatsworth.

We also have small group bible studies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check out the weekly events page for more specific information about our various small groups.

First Large Group!

Our first official large group meeting is starting this week. On Monday, September 12 at 7:30pm we will be meeting in the Grand Salon on the CSUN campus near Subway in the USU. Our first Fellowship talk will be on Jesus the Rebel and will be the first in the series Who is Jesus? Come enjoy friends, fellowship, worship music, and refreshments. We would love to see you there!!!

Small Groups are starting!!!

Hey Everyone,

Small group bible studies are starting up again! We would love it if you could come out and see what they’re all about!

Black Campus Ministries – Tuesdays @ 8pm in the dorms; Bld 12 1st floor. You don’t have to be black to join, but the study will be geared towards studying God and His love of cultural identity for Black students. Contact Rebecca Hartel for more details (818) 517-2073

Freshman – Tuesdays @ 8pm in the dorms; specific location TBA. This study is geared towards freshman and the issues they deal with on campus. Contact Erin Law for more details (760) 310-4334

Off-Campus – Wednesdays @ 7:30pm; 18908 Ballinger St. Northridge CA 91324. This study is geared towards students who live off-campus, however if you live on campus, feel free to come by. Contact Brendan for more details (818) 983-5518

Dorms – Wednesdays @ 8pm in the dorms; Bld 14, 4th floor. This study will be geared towards students who live in the dorms, but is open to everyone. Contact Katie for more details (626) 864-5752

This Week’s Events

Hey all! Hope this first week of school has been going well for everyone. A few updates to put on your calendars:
Tonight’s Feed the Homeless event, along with Saturday’s scavenger hunt, have been post-poned until future notice due to scheduling conflicts.

Tomorrow’s game night is still occurring 7:30pm. Meet at the front steps of the Oviatt Library. For more details contact Joanna Bush 714-331-5232.

Ready for school to start?

As most of you know, the fall semester at CSUN is just around the corner. With that, CSUN InterVarsity (IV) is gearing up for its New Student Outreach (NSO) season. For the first week of school, August 29 – September 4, we will be putting on events to encourage interactions between old and new students alike. If you have the time, come join us for these fun and exciting events!

Aug. 29 – Worship Night, 7:30pm, location TBA. Come join us in listening to worship music performed by CSUN IV’s worship band, spending time in community, and ultimately making new friends.

Aug. 30 - In-N-Out night will be at 5pm and will take place on the lawn between buildings 8 and 11 in the CSUN dorm. Free In-N-Out and a DJ are just some of the perks for showing up this evening!

Aug. 31 - Outreach initiative. Show up at 7pm at a location TBA to help serve your community through working with the homeless.

Sept. 1 - Games Night, 7pm, Location TBA. Come join in fellowship and show a bit of your competitive side in our always popular games night.

Black Campus Ministries (BCM) will be hosting a bowling night at the Matador Bowl, 7pm, for those who are interested in joining BCM.

Sept. 2 – Men and Women Night. We will be splitting up the sexes to enjoy an activity within the comforts and fellowship of our own gender. More details to come.

Sept. 3 – Experience Northridge Scavenger Hunt, TBA. This event is specific for students new to the Northridge area.

Sept. 4 – Church. Members of IV will be attending Sunday services across the Northridge area and ranging in denominations.
